These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Oven Cleaning Shepherd's Bush provides professional oven cleaning and related services to residential and commercial customers within its service area. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

1.1 "Company" means Oven Cleaning Shepherd's Bush, the provider of the cleaning services.

1.2 "Customer" means any individual or business that books or uses the services of the Company.

1.3 "Services" means oven cleaning and any additional cleaning services agreed between the Company and the Customer.

1.4 "Premises" means the property at which the Services are to be carried out.

1.5 "Technician" means a representative, contractor, or employee appointed by the Company to perform the Services.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 The Company provides professional oven cleaning services, which may include cleaning of ovens, hobs, extractors, ranges, cookers, and related appliances, as agreed at the time of booking.

2.2 The exact scope of the Services, including the type and number of appliances to be cleaned and any additional tasks, will be confirmed during the booking process.

2.3 The Company reserves the right to decline to provide Services if, upon arrival, the Technician reasonably considers the job to be unsafe, unsuitable, or significantly different from the description provided at the time of booking.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings for Services may be made by the Customer through the Company’s accepted booking channels as made available from time to time.

3.2 At the time of booking, the Customer must provide accurate information including:

(a) Full address of the Premises;
(b) Type and condition of the oven or appliance;
(c) Preferred date and time for the appointment;
(d) Any access restrictions, parking limitations, or special requirements.

3.3 All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until the Company has acknowledged the booking and, where required, received any applicable deposit or prepayment.

3.4 The Company may request photographs or additional details of the appliances in order to provide an accurate quotation and to ensure that the correct level of service is booked.

3.5 The Customer must ensure that an adult is present at the Premises for the duration of the appointment, unless otherwise agreed in advance with the Company.

4. Prices and Quotations

4.1 All prices provided by the Company are in pounds sterling and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4.2 Quotations are based on the information supplied by the Customer and on the assumption that the appliances are in a reasonable condition and accessible for cleaning.

4.3 The Company reserves the right to amend the quoted price if the information provided by the Customer was inaccurate or incomplete, or if the condition of the appliance is significantly worse than reasonably expected. In such cases, the Customer will be informed before work commences and may accept the revised price or decline the Service.

4.4 Any additional services requested by the Customer on the day of the appointment may incur extra charges, which will be agreed before the additional work is carried out.

5. Payments

5.1 Payment terms will be communicated to the Customer at the time of booking. The Company may require full or partial payment in advance, or payment upon completion of the Services.

5.2 Accepted payment methods will be specified by the Company and may include cash, card payments, or other electronic payment methods made available from time to time.

5.3 Where payment is due on completion, the Customer must ensure that payment is made to the Technician or via the agreed method on the same day as the Services are carried out, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing by the Company.

5.4 If the Customer fails to make payment when due, the Company reserves the right to:

(a) Charge reasonable administrative costs associated with recovery of the outstanding sums;
(b) Charge interest on overdue sums at the statutory rate allowable under UK law until payment is received in full;
(c) Suspend or cancel future bookings or Services for the Customer.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

6.1 The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by providing notice to the Company.

6.2 If the Customer cancels or reschedules with more than 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled appointment time, no cancellation fee will usually be payable, unless otherwise indicated at the time of booking.

6.3 If the Customer cancels or reschedules within 24 to 48 hours before the appointment time, the Company may charge a reasonable cancellation fee to cover costs and lost booking opportunities.

6.4 If the Customer cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, or fails to provide access to the Premises at the scheduled appointment time, the Company reserves the right to charge up to the full quoted price for the Services.

6.5 The Company will use reasonable endeavours to attend all confirmed appointments. However, the Company may cancel or reschedule an appointment due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, sickness, transport disruption, or safety concerns. In such cases, the Company will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable and offer an alternative appointment. The Company will not be liable for any losses arising from such cancellations or rescheduling.

7. Customer Obligations

7.1 The Customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the Premises, including suitable parking or loading facilities where possible.

7.2 The Customer must ensure that:

(a) The oven and any related appliances are disconnected from gas or electricity supplies only if specifically required and agreed in advance in accordance with safety and legal requirements;
(b) There is adequate lighting and ventilation in the work area;
(c) The area around the appliances is clear of personal items, food, and other obstacles which might restrict access or make cleaning unsafe.

7.3 The Customer is responsible for securing valuables and fragile items. The Company will not be responsible for any pre-existing damage or defects.

7.4 The Customer must inform the Company of any known defects, damage, or issues with the appliances or Premises that may affect the safe performance of the Services.

8. Performance of Services

8.1 The Technician will carry out the Services with reasonable skill and care and in accordance with industry standards for oven cleaning.

8.2 The Company uses professional-grade cleaning products and techniques designed for oven cleaning services. If the Customer has particular sensitivities or allergies, they must notify the Company in advance so that appropriate adjustments can be considered.

8.3 The Technician may remove oven doors, racks, and other removable components for cleaning, where appropriate and safe to do so. Reassembly will be carried out with due care but the Company will not be responsible for any pre-existing wear, corrosion, or manufacturer defects that result in components not refitting as intended.

8.4 The Company does not guarantee the removal of all carbon deposits, stains, or discolouration, especially where there is significant age-related wear, burnt-on residue, or damage to the enamel or other surfaces.

9. Liability and Limitations

9.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

9.2 Subject to clause 9.1, the Company shall not be liable for:

(a) Any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity;
(b) Any damage or deterioration caused by pre-existing defects, misuse, poor installation, or general wear and tear of the appliances;
(c) Any issues resulting from failure to follow manufacturer instructions regarding the use or maintenance of the appliances after cleaning.

9.3 The Customer is responsible for checking the condition and operation of the oven and appliances after the work is completed and before use. Any concerns must be raised with the Technician on site where reasonably possible.

9.4 The Company’s total aggregate liability in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with the Services or these Terms and Conditions shall be limited to the total amount paid by the Customer for the specific Services giving rise to the claim.

10. Waste Handling and Environmental Compliance

10.1 The Company will handle and dispose of waste generated during the provision of the Services in accordance with applicable UK waste and environmental regulations.

10.2 Waste arising from oven cleaning, such as removed grease, residues, and disposable materials, will be collected by the Technician and disposed of responsibly, unless alternative arrangements are agreed in advance.

10.3 The Customer must not request or require the Technician to dispose of any hazardous or prohibited waste materials in a way that is inconsistent with applicable laws or guidance. The Company reserves the right to decline such requests.

10.4 Where the Customer generates additional waste in relation to the Services, it is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure lawful and appropriate disposal.

11. Complaints and Service Issues

11.1 The Company aims to provide a high standard of service. If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should contact the Company as soon as reasonably possible, ideally within 48 hours of the work being completed.

11.2 The Customer may be asked to provide details of the issue, including photographs, to help the Company assess the situation.

11.3 Where a complaint is justified, the Company may, at its discretion, offer a partial refund, a reduced fee, or a revisit to address reasonable concerns.

12. Insurance

12.1 The Company maintains appropriate insurance cover in relation to the provision of its Services, including public liability insurance, in accordance with its legal obligations.

12.2 Evidence of insurance cover can be provided upon reasonable request by the Customer.

13. Force Majeure

13.1 The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events, circumstances, or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, strikes, transport disruptions, accidents, or acts of government.

13.2 In such cases, the Company will use reasonable endeavours to notify the Customer and to perform the Services as soon as reasonably practicable.

14. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

14.1 The Company reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect when published or otherwise communicated and will apply to all bookings made thereafter.

14.2 For confirmed bookings, the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of booking will apply, unless a change is required by law or regulatory authority.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services provided by the Company, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions or the Services.

16. General Provisions

16.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.

16.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Customer in relation to the provision of the Services and supersede any prior discussions or representations.
